3) Respond to the art on exhibit and place value upon the arts

Students in Art Mobile classes:
1) Use and share knowledge about design concepts.
2) Understand through becoming involved in the art making process.
3) Apply visual art techniques to their own art works.
Content Standard 3. Students develop, refine skills & techniques to express ideas, pose & solve problems, discover meaning.
Students in Art Mobile classes:
1) Use developing skills to communicate
2) Critically review information before attempting techniques
3) Apply their knowledge and communicate their own meanings while developing technical skills
Content Standard 4. Students analyze characteristics and merits of their work and the work of others.
Students in Art Mobile classes:
1) Reflect on the arts
2) Practice critical thinking and qualitative judgment
3) Use higher order thinking skills: analysis, synthesis, and evaluation to understand art works.
Content Standard 5. Students understand the role of the Arts in society, diverse cultures, and historical periods.
Students in Art Mobile
classes:
1) Gain knowledge about the meaning of the arts in the context of their own community, environment, and culture, including the unique cultural heritage of Montana's American Indians.
Content Standard 6. Students make connections among the Arts, other subject areas, life, and work.
Students in Art Mobile classes:
1) Learn how the arts are part of everyone's daily experience
2) How the arts reflect the culture that produces them
3) How the arts disciplines relate to one another, to other subjects and to life.
