Malmborg is the schoolhouse everyone imagines when you hear the words "one-room". Red, octagonal, and full of sunlight, its the bright exclamation point you see for miles in a landscape of empty foothills. Ms. Larson adds even more charm and excitement to this place. Artwork was hung across the classroom, paintings of portraits and landscapes in rainbows of color, and students were either writing out math equations on their desks with dry-erase markers or using iPads to complete assignments while we started hauling boxes in. There was technology, art, hands-on learning, experiments, and explorations all happening inside this tiny space under the tutelage of two very talented teachers proving YES!- Rigorous education can and should be FUN!
